We had a big problem in south west Manitoba. We had to change to piles part way through this project. As a result we were told that the liner we had planned to lay wouldn’t work and the only way we could now contain our site was by spraying a liner in. They said it would take seven days of good weather to do that – we never get 7 good days of weather in a row - and the price tag was shocking. Our EPCMs found a solution for us: Western Canadian Containment. The WCC team was amazing. We got off to a rocky start because they had 3 tires blow out on the trip over here and those delays just complicated an already tight schedule. I definitely wondered what we were getting ourselves into before they arrived. But when they started working –Wow! I was impressed! They were very dedicated. They worked hard, through the extreme heat, and I was impressed with their professionalism and skill. Everyone on the team knew what their job was and the coordination between team members was tremendous. They had the right tools and equipment and completed the job well within our time constraints. I have told our EPMCs to put them on our bid list for all future jobs. They know what they are doing and do it extremely well. Problem solved!

I have used several companies in the past and I always decided on the company based on lowest quote. WCC was never the lowest but they were always in the ball park. Not knowing exactly what to expect from any of these companies I have to say that I wasn’t overly impressed with how long it took these other companies to complete a system. Their process for building a containment system would always seem to be long and drawn out but, having nothing else to compare it to, I just figured that must just be the way it is. I am pleased to say that our first experience with WCC changed all that!
We first hired WCC when an emergency situation arose that needed immediate attention. The company I was using said they couldn’t do the job so we called WCC and they said they could do it. When they arrived on the scene, the difference was immediately obvious, and quite impressive. They were very professional and quick. What was taking the others 3 and 4 days for a similar amount of work took these guys less than half a day. And the quality was far better than any I had seen. I checked it out after they were done and it looked really well built – like it would last. I was truly impressed! In the past I have always gone with the lowest bid but this experience taught me an important lesson and from now on I will be using WCC as much as possible.
